About the event
Thermal Imagers by design provide information that must be interpreted by the operator. Once interpreted the user may then apply this information tactically.
Firefighter fatality reports refer to thermal imagers as valuable tools that are often underutilized and their technology is misunderstood. Many fire departments currently own thermal imagers but do not understand the basic scientific principles and limitations of thermal imaging and the functionality of their specific thermal imager.
Topics presented during this 3 Hour classroom session shall include:
• Theory and Principles of Thermal Imaging
